STIPGLAS supplies several semi-finished products in multiple COE’s (coefficient of expansion) applicable to various hot glass techniques (fusing, casting, lampworking). The design possibilities are greatly expanded through the use of semi-finished products.
- Glass powders, clear or colored glass crushed to a powder, transparent and opaque in float-compatible and COE 90, 94, 96 and 100. Sold in units of 100 gram, 240 gram or more and, specifically for lampworking or hot-pot fusing, there’s also a selection available in 25 gram packages.
- Glass granules, clear or colored glass crushed to fine, medium or coarse granules, transparent and opaque in float-compatible and COE 90, 94 and 96. Sold in units of 100 gram, 240 gram or more and, specifically for lampworking or hot-pot fusing, there’s also a selection available in 25 gram packages.
- Stringers, glass rods with a diameter of 1 or 2 mm, length depending on the manufacturer between 40 and 100 cm, transparent and opaque in float-compatible and COE 90, 96 and 104. Minimum purchase: 1 stringer.
- Noodles, glass strips 1.3 mm thick, 4.5 mm wide and 43 cm long, transparent and opaque in COE 96. Minimum purchase: 1 noodle.
- Confetti (shards), ultra thin colored glass shards, transparent and opaque in float-compatible and COE 90 and 96 (more than 60 colors in stock!!!). Sold in packages of 50 and 15 grams.
- Murrini’s, slices of a multicolored glass rod, often with a flower pattern (millefiori), usually round (in various diameters) but also triangular or square, transparent and opaque in COE 104. Sold either in 25 gram packages or as a rod.
